Ian Chan

Ian has always enjoyed sports and the outdoors, so of course, injuries occurred. Ian found the most relief from Massage Therapy. This inspired him to become a massage therapist, and in 2019, Ian successfully completed the Registered Massage Therapy Program at Langara College.

Ian has experience treating athletes, seniors, pregnant people, and those who have been affected by motor vehicle accidents. He utilizes a wide range of techniques from myofascial release, trigger point therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) techniques to help attain optimal health and recovery. Michael completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, Australia, following the completion of his Bachelor of Science – Kinesiology at Dalhousie University.

Being heavily involved in sports as a player, coach, and a sports trainer, Michael always has an enthusiastic attitude to the body’s movement and repair process which led him to pursue his studies in Physiotherapy.

While working in Melbourne, New Brunswick, and Vancouver, Michael has continued his professional development with various seminars from world renowned physiotherapists. He is also certified in Clinical Pilates and Strength and Conditioning, as well as specializes in hip and knee Osteoarthritis management (GLA:D certified).
